Earth day is a global movement that provides a voice for environmental consciousness and environmental issues. The first Earth Day was founded in 1970 by Senator Gaylord Nelson in the U.S. Earth Day is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations.
Southern Oregon University has completed a new storage facility at Raider Stadium that addresses sustainability on two fronts – it includes the university’s ninth array of solar panels, and the structure itself was created from recycled shipping containers.
