SOU Releases Annual Greenhouse Gas Report
August 24, 2018
For communities around the world the impacts of climate change are becoming increasingly evident. As southern Oregon experiences the first few days of blue skies after nearly eight weeks of smoke from wildfires, the need to mitigate and adapt to climate change is top of mind for many. Southern Oregon University is especially aware of the urgency for action and is working to achieve the ultimate goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
An important step in mitigating climate change is measuring progress. SOU conducts annual greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories to monitor and track progression toward the university’s GHG reduction targets. The GHG inventory report for the 2017 fiscal year is now available.
