Guanajuato Students Visit SOU for Collaborative Business Development Project
This Story is featured on SOU News
Global Innovation Scholars (GIS) is a groundbreaking international collaboration that unites Southern Oregon University and global partners in higher education. In 2023, the project supported community centered innovations in sustainability alongside the Universidad de Guanajuato.
This project orchestrates an enriching exchange program, bringing together students from both institutions to craft new and creative solutions to some of the most complex issues and to creatively tackle business development plans for local businesses in Ashland, Oregon and the city of Guanajuato, Mexico. Support from IAS included a $25,000 grant as well as on the ground leadership support from Dr. Vincent Smith, Institute Director. We’d like to commend Dee Fretwell, School of Business program chair and GIS project lead, for making this program thrive!
